What many people do not know is Alli is very similar to the prescription diet pill known as Xenical, the only difference is that it contains 50 percent less potency then that of Xenical.
Alli works in the stomach to reduce the amount of fat that your body retains from foods. It prevents the action of the enzyme lipase which is necessary for the absorption of fats in the small intestine and stomach. As a result undigested fats are not absorbed which can lead to fewer calories resulting in over all weight loss. One must remember that Alli only works with fat, and does nothing to stop the absorption of carbohydrates, therefor if you are eating a low fat diet Alli will do nothing for you.
Alli does not differentiate between blocking the bad fats and the good fats which help lower your cholesterol, also it blocks fat absorbing vitamins from entering your system which makes it necessary to need extra supplementation when taking Alli diet pill.
The side effects of Alli are rather unpleasant and embarrassing. Since your body is no longer absorbing all the fat it must leave your body in one way or another and it does this by leaving through your stool. So some side effects of it include bloating, gas, "oily spotting," diarrhea, and possibly, "anal leakage."
